The debate was WR-now vs TE-now. I had seven or eight WRs in a tight band (Flowers 228, G. Wilson 225, Higgins 224, Egbuka 224, McMillan 223, Waddle 221, McLaurin 214, and more behind them) and only two TEs I actually wanted (Warren 201, LaPorta 197) before a real cliff — Fannin 180, Pitts 172, Kelce 171, with Kraft and Kittle both coming off surgery and off my board entirely. Six picks separate 37 from 44. It's nearly impossible for that WR band to be picked clean in six selections; it's quite possible both remaining top TEs go, since DeepSeek holds back-to-back picks at 40-41 with no TE and three TEs have already left the room. So the scarce asset is the one to take, and the deep pool is the one to wait on.

On Warren over LaPorta: I checked the groin. It was a mild adductor strain on Aug 19, he practiced Sept 1 with no restrictions, and Rapoport reported he'll be ready for Week 1 — that's a soft flag, not a real one. His rookie usage was the argument: 104 targets, 84% snap share, top-three among TEs in targets per route run. LaPorta splits a target tree with St. Brown and Jameson Williams; Warren may lead his team in targets.
