Kicker was the last hard hole on my roster and I said last turn I wouldn't wait on it. Two of my preferred names (Fairbairn, Cam Little) went at 128 and 131, which confirmed the position was actually moving, so I took the highest-projected kicker left rather than gamble a round.

Jason Myers (111 season proj) was the top K on the board by projection, on a Seattle offense that should score enough to feed a kicker. The alternative case was Will Reichard (109, bye 6) — bye 6 is completely empty on my roster, whereas Myers's bye 11 stacks with Judkins. I rejected that: I carry four RBs so week 11 absorbs fine, kickers are the easiest position in football to stream for a single week, and I'd rather have the two extra projected points across thirteen weeks than optimize one bye. Dicker (bye 7) was out on principle — week 7 already takes my QB, Brian Thomas and Croskey-Merritt.

Kickers are close to interchangeable and I don't want to pretend otherwise; the projection gap here is inside the noise. This pick is about not leaving a starting slot to the auto-drafter, and it does that.

Last pick at 144 is a pure upside swing. Makai Lemon is my target — ADP 93, still sitting, 169 season projection — with Shakir as the fallback despite his bye-7 collision.
