Reviewing Week 4 Waivers

I've received the Week 4 waivers briefing. My team, Gemini 3.8 Flash, is 3-0 and in first place with $100 FAAB remaining. Blind FAAB claims are due tonight.

Analyzing Waiver Additions

I'm evaluating potential waiver additions for Week 4, considering the availability of players like Ollie Gordon and Kenyon Sadiq. My roster has some injury concerns, particularly with Josh Allen and Puka Nacua, which I need to address through these moves.

Analyzing Gainwell's Situation

I'm currently evaluating Kenny Gainwell's recent drop from rosters. He exceeds my typical roster limits, but his prior widespread drafting suggests he might still hold significant value, warranting a closer look.

Investigating Rosters

I'm currently cross-referencing player ownership across various team rosters to pinpoint who has Kenny Gainwell. My current focus is on meticulously reviewing the player lists of the teams mentioned to establish current ownership.

Analyzing Player Aggression

I'm currently examining player aggression ratings from the article, specifically focusing on Kenny Gainwell's 6.5. I'm cross-referencing this with our platform's data for Gainwell, then I will check Ollie Gordon (6.0) and Braelon Allen.

Investigating Player Status

My focus has shifted to confirming Kenny Gainwell's availability. I've learned he isn't on any other rosters, suggesting he may be a free agent. I'm now trying to determine the precise mechanism for adding him to the team.

(From the league office: the turn is not on the record until it is filed. File your memo now with finish_turn.)

Filing The Turn

I realize now that the league office has nudged me to file the current turn. I shouldn't delay; my memo needs to be submitted promptly using the finish_turn function.

Analyzing Wide Receiver Options

I'm assessing my wide receiver depth, specifically considering Jordan Addison's performance given Justin Jefferson's ankle injury. Addison had a strong Week 3 with 20 points, seeing significant targets and scoring a touchdown, while playing nearly every snap.

# Briefing from the league office · waivers · week 4

Waiver turn for week 4. Waivers run tonight; blind FAAB claims are due for players marked waivers. Players marked FA are free agents and can be signed for nothing with add_drop, now or at any turn. Trades and messages are open as usual.

## You

You are Gemini 3.8 Flash (Google), seat 3 of 10 (a seat number, not a draft slot; the draft order is drawn by lottery before the draft, and your first pick is overall 6). FAAB remaining: $100. Record: 3-0, 399.9 PF.

## Your notes (written by you last time)

# League Standing & Capital
- Record: 3-0 (Sole 1st place in the league) | Points For: 399.9 | FAAB: $100 / $100 intact.
- Week 3 Result: Defeated Grok 4.6 (@xai) 106.1 to 100.4.

# Week 4 Matchup: vs Claude Opus 5 (@anthropic) (1-2, 335.4 PF, $80 FAAB)
- Opponent key starters: Christian McCaffrey, Derrick Henry, Bhayshul Tuten, Jordan Love, George Pickens, Rashee Rice, Tyler Warren, Chicago D/ST.
- Formidable RB core, but WR corps remains beatable.

# Roster & Injury Intel
- Josh Allen (QB BUF): Took hit to left knee late in Week 3, limped postgame, but finished contest. HC Joe Brady downplayed concern; SIC / Dr. Chao project him to play through it (Allen holds 125-game start streak). Patrick Mahomes on bench provides elite insurance.
- Braelon Allen (RB NYJ): Breece Hall confirmed week-to-week with right quad injury, avoiding structural damage but ruled out for Week 4 vs CHI. Allen locked into FLEX with lead workload expectations.
- Puka Nacua (WR LAR): McVay "hopeful" for Week 4 return at PHI, but groin/hip injury requires official practice confirmation. Kept on bench until full clearance.
- Kenneth Walker (RB KC): Bellcow RB1 vs LV (KC bye in Week 5).
- Bucky Irving (RB TB): Starting RB2 vs GB.
- George Kittle (TE SF): Starting TE vs DEN.
- Ladd McConkey (LAC) & Jameson Williams (DET): Starting WRs while Nacua sits.
- Dalton Kincaid (BUF): TE2/FLEX depth vs NE.
- J.K. Dobbins (DEN): 17 carries in Week 3 (49% snaps). High-value RB depth for Walker's Week 5 bye.
- Jadarian Price (SEA): 28 carries on season; monitored after recent fumble issues.
- Romeo Doubs (NE): 70%+ snaps as WR depth.

# Open Threads & Next Steps
- Grok 4.6 DM thread closed amicably; no further reply necessary.
- Await Wednesday practice participation reports for Josh Allen and Puka Nacua before Wednesday night scheduled turn.

## Available players (top by projection; there are more, query_stats can find them)

Columns: game is this week's opponent and kickoff in Eastern time (a player locks at that kickoff), wk_proj is projected fantasy points this week, last_wk and avg are what the player actually scored last week and per week so far this season, seas_proj the season projection, adp the average draft position (lower means drafted earlier; it is not a projection). FA marks a free agent: add_drop signs one immediately, at any turn, for nothing. waivers marks a player who can only be claimed with a FAAB bid at the next waiver run. Status column: Out, Doubtful, IR, PUP and suspensions are hard statuses. "flag" is Sleeper's questionable tag with the body part when known: a soft signal, often a minor camp issue, and there is no official NFL injury report until the practice reports of game week. "QB2 on depth chart" and the like is the team's listed depth order (1 starts). "report:" is the official NFL injury report, filed by the team: the game designation (Out, Doubtful, Questionable, or none) and the latest practice participation (DNP, limited, full).

    ## Dolphins RB De'Von Achane (ACL) Panic level: High 🚨🚨🚨 The Miami Dolphins were expected to be one of the worst teams in the NFL this year, but they now have lost their best player in star running back De'Von Achane. He tore his ACL during the 24-10 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday, meaning Malik Willis will have to lean on Ollie Gordon II and Jaylen Wright moving forward. The Dolphins are statistically one of the worst offenses in the NFL, averaging 290.7 total yards per game. In his three games played, Achane turned 41 touches into 176 yards and zero touchdowns. Miami actually ju

Miami Dolphins RB De'Von Achane (knee), New Orleans Saints RB Travis Etienne Jr. (hamstring) and New York Jets RB Breece Hall (quadriceps) each exited games, and the injuries have varying degrees of severity. Achane is done for the season, Etienne might miss time some time, and Hall appears to have lucked out the most, although he is considered week-to-week. ... Washington isn't flashy, nor is the Miami passing offense, as Dolphins QB Malik Willis slowly tries to get things going in South Florida. The Dolphins might try to go to the air a little more with Achane going down for the season. Wash

Ollie Gordon II – Miami Dolphins (Rostered: 1.6%): With news that Dolphins star running back De'Von Achane is expected to miss the rest of the season, there are a couple of backup options to help replace his production. The first and most popular choice is Gordon, the only healthy running back on the team. With backup Jaylen Wright out of the lineup in Week Three against the Chiefs, Gordon handled the brunt of the workload with 17 carries. He rushed for 41 yards, caught three passes for 14 yards, and even scored a touchdown. However, the Dolphins are a poor running team, and Gordon averaged ju

The Dolphins lost their first game by 14 and their second game by 22. In a game they played reasonably well against Kansas City, they lost by 14. They also lost running back De'Von Achane, their best player, to a knee injury. The roster is incredibly thin on both sides of the ball. Miami's schedule isn't easy. It's not going to be a fun season in Miami.

    • fantasypros.com2026-09-12Fantasy Football Start/Sit Advice: Running Backs (Week 1) - FantasyPros
Bucky Irving (TB) Bucky Irving has dealt with a number of injuries in his short career with a foot sprain and a shoulder/ AC joint sprain last year. Rewinding to 2024, he also dealt with hip, back, toe, and hamstring issues. When he was on the field last year, he averaged 20.3 touches and 86.5 total yards as the RB17 in fantasy points per game. His efficiency suffered massively from the injuries last year after being a wondrous per-touch monster in 2024. Last year, among 49 qualifying backs, he was 43rd in explosive run rate, 35th in missed tackle rate, and 46th in yards after contact per atte

What do we make of the Bucs' four fumbles that led to 24 points? Quarterback Baker Mayfield's first fumble came while moving laterally to try to find an open receiver. The second fumble was from running back Bucky Irving, who left the ball exposed when he collided with Boye Mafe and Myles Murphy. The third came from Mayfield while he was spinning his way out of a sack, scrambling and desperately trying to reach the end zone while in a 14-3 hole -- trying to do too much. Fantasy Waiver Wire Targets Week 4: Braelon Allen, Ollie Gordon, Kenyon Sadiq, and More Fantasy Waiver Wire Targets Week 4: # Fantasy Waiver Wire Targets Week 4: Braelon Allen, Ollie Gordon, Kenyon Sadiq, and More Don't miss out on the top Week 4 waiver wire targets. Here are the players fantasy football managers should consider picking up this week. September 27, 2026 | 9:10 PM EDT The injury reports are getting longer, and fantasy managers are running out of patience with the healthy players who aren’t producing. Fortunately, the Week 4 waiver wire offers several ways to address those problems. Some pickups could help immediately, while others are worth securing before we learn more about the players ahead of them. Let’s sort through this week’s options and determine how aggressively to pursue each one. ## Sam Darnold, QB, Seattle Seahawks Rostered: 37% Sam Darnold returned with 379 passing yards and four touchdowns. Apparently, he had some fantasy points to make up for. The matchups won’t always be this friendly, but Darnold looked great. Meanwhile, the Seattle Seahawks continue to struggle running the ball, potentially forcing them to lean more heavily on the passing game. With Jaxon Smith-Njigba looking unstoppable, that doesn’t sound like a terrible idea. Darnold probably should be rostered as a QB2 in every league. Even if you don’t need to start him immediately, he’s a useful option to have available when injuries, bye weeks, or matchups send you searching for an alternative. Aggressiveness Rating: 3.0 ## Geno Smith, QB, New York Jets Rostered: 9% Game script will dictate how much Geno Smith throws, but he showed what he can do when the New York Jets need to keep scoring. In a back-and-forth game against the Detroit Lions, Smith completed 31 of 37 passes for 321 yards and three touchdowns. Smith legitimately looks good. Through three weeks, it certainly appears last season’s struggles had more to do with the Las Vegas Raiders’ abysmal coaching staff and offensive line than his ability to play quarterback. The Chicago Bears are up next. With Tyson Bagent likely starting for Chicago, that matchup may not force Smith to throw nearly as much. Nevertheless, with quarterback injuries piling up, he’s worth a look for managers who need a Week 4 starter. Aggressiveness Rating: 1.5 ## Marcus Mariota, QB, Washington Commanders Rostered: 3% Most backup quarterbacks aren’t worth our attention in fantasy. Marcus Mariota is an exception, and he demonstrated why against the Seattle Seahawks. Despite rushing for just 11 yards, Mariota reached 20 fantasy points by throwing three touchdowns. Doing that against Seattle makes the performance particularly encouraging. We didn’t even need a big rushing day for him to deliver. Mariota should make at least another start or two, with the Indianapolis Colts and New York Giants next on the Washington Commanders’ schedule. For managers trying to patch a hole at quarterback, you can do worse over the next two weeks. Aggressiveness Rating: 1.0 ## Jacoby Brissett, QB, Arizona Cardinals Rostered: 9% This was vintage 2025 Jacoby Brissett. The Arizona Cardinals fell behind, the second-half passing volume piled up, and fantasy managers benefited from a game that wasn’t going particularly well for his actual team. Brissett completed 38 of 52 passes for 280 yards and two touchdowns, adding a quarterback sneak for another score. That produced 25.6 fantasy points. We don’t get extra credit for how aesthetically pleasing they were. The Cardinals face the New York Giants and Detroit Lions over the next two weeks, keeping Brissett in the streaming conversation. He’s a viable option for managers trying to navigate quarterback injuries without spending much. Aggressiveness Rating: 1.0 ## Kenny Gainwell, RB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers Rostered: 64% Kenny Gainwell is well over our usual roster threshold, but he warrants an exception as a widely drafted player who has been dropped in recent weeks. I was really high on Gainwell entering the season because I expected standalone value alongside his upside if Bucky Irving missed time. Instead, Gainwell had no role whatsoever. The standalone portion of that argument disappeared quickly, but the injury contingency never went away. Irving left in the fourth quarter and didn’t return. We don’t yet know what happened or whether he’ll miss additional time, but Gainwell would be the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ main back if Irving is unavailable. If Gainwell was dropped in your league, it’s time to add him. The injury news will determine whether he belongs in your Week 4 lineup, but you don’t want to wait until his opportunity is confirmed to try to secure him. Aggressiveness Rating: 6.5 ## Ollie Gordon, RB, Miami Dolphins Rostered: 2% With De’Von Achane likely to miss time with a knee injury, Ollie Gordon suddenly has a path to meaningful fantasy value. He operated as the Miami Dolphins’ clear lead back, carrying 17 times for 41 yards and a touchdown while adding three catches for 14 yards. The efficiency wasn’t pretty, but the usage looked a lot like Achane’s. Gordon handled work on the ground and through the air, which is what matters when we’re looking for a replacement starter. Jaylen Wright was inactive but could be back in the mix next week. Gordon has little job security, and the Dolphins won’t hesitate to use Wright if he plays better. Nevertheless, Gordon should get the first crack at leading this backfield while Achane is out. The Minnesota Vikings aren’t an ideal matchup, but starting running backs don’t appear on waivers very often. Gordon can be a volume-based RB3, making him worth an aggressive bid. Aggressiveness Rating: 6.0 ## Braelon Allen, RB, New York Jets Rostered: 18% Nothing about Braelon Allen’s Week 3 production demands our attention. Breece Hall leaving the game with a thigh injury absolutely does. We don’t yet know how serious Hall’s injury is. If he’s expected to miss time, Al

      * Will Kyler Murray get **Justin Jefferson** the ball? I hope so. The Vikings should treat Jefferson the way Homer Simpson wanted "The Itchy & Scratchy Show" producers to treat Poochie! (Before he went to his home planet, of course.) Don't sleep on **Jordan Addison**, either. The Packers struggle with outside receivers.

    • fantasypros.com2026-09-09Carson Wentz to serve as backup quarterback Week 1 - Carson Wentz News | FantasyPros
Wentz beat out J.J. McCarthy for the backup quarterback job behind Kyler Murray for the team's season opener on Sunday. He found some success in his limited action as a backup last year, so him being next in line adds another layer of security for fantasy assets like Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison moving forward.
    • atozsports.com2026-09-23Minnesota Vikings have a lot to be excited about after 2-0 start, and the film proves they are ready for the next step
Sunday showcased the full Carson Wentz experience. The zone blitz where Chicago sent the corner, who triggered just early enough on a jab-step fake to sell Wentz, led to an attempt to layer the ball over linebacker Devin Bush. It didn’t work, but wide receiver Jordan Addison made a fantastic play to bail him out. There was also the play where Addison ran a route they have hit multiple explosive on, doing a little hitch before looping around into a wheel route. Addison was wide open, and safety Dillon Thieneman couldn’t get there quickly enough. But Wentz threw it more toward the sideline while
