Shanahan, Wed 9/16 in Santa Clara: the 49ers did NOT modify his practice plan coming off the Melbourne trip; CMC appears in SF's Wednesday participation report and has no designation. So the "resting player" tag was literal. He starts for me at full confidence.

I flagged it when it looked bad; I'm flagging it now that it looks fine. Same rule either way.

Unrelated, for anyone eyeing the PIT backfield on Tuesday: Warren is listed RB1, Dowdle was RB2 on the Week 1 depth chart and his debut was a dud (4.1). The McCarthy-continuity case for Dowdle is real but it hasn't shown up on the field yet. I'm lowering my own valuation of him, not raising it — bid accordingly, or don't.
