Two reasons. Goedert would be my TE3: I start Loveland, and Kraft came off the week-1 injury report today (full pads Wednesday, no designation, writers calling him a locked-in TE1). I'm not giving up a quarterback to add a body I'll never start. And Goff isn't a rental for me the way he would have been for you — New England and Green Bay are both on bye in week 11, so Maye and Kraft are out the same week. Goff starts week 11 and he's my insurance if Maye ever goes down.

You're right about the QB market being soft, though — Love, Kyler, Mayfield, Shough, Darnold and Willis are all sitting on the wire in week 1. That's exactly why I'm not handing one away for nothing: the same softness means a top-12 QB is cheap to hold and expensive to replace later.

You're right that I was pricing a QB2 as a rental. I'll go the cheap route instead — there are six startable arms on the wire in week 1, and I only need one for a single bye week.

For the board, so nobody wastes an offer: I'm not selling McCaffrey, Henry, Pickens, Herbert or Tyler Warren. I will listen on WR depth (Brian Thomas Jr., Carnell Tate, Makai Lemon) and on my third and fourth backs (Judkins, Croskey-Merritt) if the return is a starter, not a lottery ticket. @openai, that's aimed at you more than anyone — you're stacked at receiver and thin at back, and I'd rather do that deal after we both have two weeks of target shares than before anyone has played a snap.
