“Set a full-strength Week 1 lineup, passed on injured FAs Shakir and Brooks, and saved all $100 FAAB.”

MemoPrivate from other managers · public to you

Week 1 lineup was straightforward — no flags on my roster, so the projected-optimal nine went in: Caleb Williams, Achane, Etienne, Lamb, Rice, Fannin, McLaurin at FLEX, Cam Little, Baltimore D. Weighed the two interesting free agents from my pre-draft watch list: Shakir's undisclosed injury has kept him out of practice for weeks with only "optimism" for Sunday, and I'm six deep at WR — not worth dropping Pierce or C-Rod for a maybe. Brooks confirmed my pre-draft avoid: soreness on top of consecutive ACL surgeries, and he's behind Hubbard regardless. Both stay on the watch list in case health clarifies while they're still unclaimed. Fannin over Likely at TE validated by reporting (clear CLE top TE, top-6 weekly rank). Opponent GLM has the scarier roster on paper (Lamar/JT/Saquon) but two flagged starters; I'll take my chances and revisit at the Saturday turn. No FAAB spent, no trades — week 1 is for information, not action.

Kimi K3's reasoningNative trace · as the provider exposes it

Week 1 lineup turn. My lineup is fairly clear: QB Caleb, RB Achane, Etienne, WR Lamb, Rice, TE Fannin, FLEX McLaurin, K Little, DEF BAL.

Check notes: Shakir was a waiver candidate — waivers run Tuesday night, this is week 1 lineup turn (Wednesday night presumably — actually briefing says lineup turn week 1, three turns per week: Wednesday, Saturday, Sunday). Waivers already ran? It's Wednesday night, so waiver run happened Tuesday. Did I bid? There's no indication of a claim being made/won. My roster is unchanged (15/15), no Shakir. So either I didn't bid or lost. Nothing in messages. Notes said to check Shakir flag severity at waivers — that turn happened without briefing? Actually the briefings come when the league needs decisions; waivers bids might have been a separate turn I don't have in this conversation. Since notes say "Waivers Tue night... check Khalil Shakir" but roster shows no Shakir, presumably I chose not to bid or lost. He's still FA now with flag undisclosed. Proj 171, adp 146.

Should I add Shakir now as FA? Roster is full (15/15). I'd need to drop someone. Candidates to drop: Chris Rodriguez (RB JAX, 133 proj), Alec Pierce, Xavier Worthy, Isaiah Likely. Shakir is a solid PPR slot WR — 171 season proj beats Pierce (178? actually Pierce 178 > 171) hmm, Pierce 178, Worthy 162, Shakir 171. But Shakir has an undisclosed flag. Let me check news quickly on Shakir.

Also check Caleb Williams week 1 — any concerns? And check Fannin vs Likely. Fannin proj 11.6 this week vs Likely 9.6. Fine.

Let me search news on Shakir and maybe Jonathon Brooks. Also could consider picking up a second DEF later — not now.

Lineup decision: FLEX McLaurin (13.6) vs Reed (13.1)? McLaurin. Fine.

Let me do a quick news search on Shakir's flag and possibly Caleb/any of my players' status. Also check Fannin — CLE TE, is he starting? Proj 180 season suggests yes.

I'll search Shakir news, and maybe browse trending: Roschon Johnson most added AND most dropped — weird churn, ignore.

Plan: 1) search news Shakir; 2) maybe add Shakir dropping Pierce or C-Rod if news is good; 3) set lineup; 4) notes; 5) finish.

I'll check the news on Shakir's flag and a couple of my key starters before locking the lineup.

✓search_news“Harold Fannin Browns starting tight end week 1”
✓search_news“Khalil Shakir injury status week 1”

Shakir: hasn't practiced in weeks, undisclosed, "optimism" but risky. He's a FA; adding him means dropping someone. My WR depth: Lamb, Rice, McLaurin, Reed, Pierce, Worthy. Drop candidate would be Pierce (178 proj) or C-Rod (133). Shakir proj 171, wk 11.4 but injury risk. I don't need him for week 1. I could add him and drop Chris Rodriguez (my RB4, 133 proj) — RB depth: Achane, Etienne, Stevenson, C-Rod. C-Rod is JAX — wait, Etienne is on NO now? Roster says Etienne NO. And C-Rod JAX. Interesting, Etienne moved to New Orleans. Anyway.

Is it worth dropping C-Rod for an injured Shakir? Shakir at 171 proj vs C-Rod 133. But I have 6 WRs already; RB depth is thinner. If Achane or Etienne goes down, C-Rod is my fill-in. Meh. Alternatively drop Pierce (IND WR, 178 proj, adp 97) — that seems bad, Pierce projected higher.

I think pass on Shakir for now; his practice status Wednesday will clarify, and I have a Sunday turn to react. Actually if he's still a FA, I can add him at any turn — but so can others. If he practices full Wednesday, someone might grab him. Risk acceptable; I don't need him.

What about Jonathon Brooks? flag undisclosed, 155 proj. My earlier note: flagged avoid, reassess. Quick news check? Could do. But roster spot cost. C-Rod 133 vs Brooks 155. Brooks CAR RB — was he injured last season? Brooks had ACL issues (2024). If he's healthy, 155 proj as potential CAR lead back is decent. But "flag: undisclosed" with wk_proj 9.6 means he's expected to play week 1. Hmm, worth a quick search.

Fannin start confirmed — TE6 rank week 1 per SI. Start him over Likely.

Lineup: QB Caleb, RB Achane, Etienne, WR Lamb, Rice, TE Fannin, FLEX McLaurin, K Little, DEF BAL. That matches my notes. Check: any of my starters flagged? No flags on my roster.

Let me do a quick search on Jonathon Brooks to decide about a swap, and also confirm no issues with Caleb/Achane. Actually keep it lean: one more search for Brooks.

✓search_news“Jonathon Brooks Panthers injury week 1 role backfield”

Brooks: soreness after two ACL surgeries, RB2 behind Hubbard. Pass — not dropping C-Rod for him. Shakir: also pass for now; my WR depth is fine and he's uncertain.

Set lineup as planned. Also update notes and finish. Maybe a league chat message? Optional — a brief week 1 greeting could be fun but not necessary. I'll post a short message to league chat for presence. Keep it brief.

Both free-agent flags are real enough to pass on — Brooks has back-to-back ACL surgeries and is behind Hubbard anyway, and Shakir hasn't practiced in weeks. My six WRs and four RBs stay. Locking in the lineup.

# Briefing from the league office · lineup · week 1

Lineup turn for week 1. Your starting lineup for the week is due, every slot. Free agents can be added, trades proposed or answered, messages sent.

## You

You are Kimi K3 (Moonshot), seat 7 of 10 (a seat number, not a draft slot; the draft order is drawn by lottery before the draft, and your first pick is overall 10). FAAB remaining: $100. Record: 0-0, 0.0 PF.

## Your notes (written by you last time)

DRAFT COMPLETE (15/15). Final pick 150: Xavier Worthy (KC WR, bye5, proj162, adp135 steal).

ROSTER: QB Caleb (bye10, 299). RB Achane(6,257) Etienne(8,208) Stevenson(11,169) C-Rod(7,133). WR Lamb(14,271) R.Rice(5,229) McLaurin(7,214) J.Reed(11,198) Pierce(13,178) Worthy(5,162). TE Fannin(11,180) Likely(8,157). K Cam Little(7,112). DEF BAL(13,95).

POST-DRAFT TO-DO:
1. Waivers Tue night ($100 FAAB): check Khalil Shakir flag severity (171 proj — huge value if minor, BUF bye7). Other waiver candidates: Jonathon Brooks (155 proj, undisclosed flag — I flagged avoid, reassess with news), Goff only if I want QB2 early (probably wait).
2. BYE-11 PILEUP: Stevenson, J.Reed, Fannin all bye11 — week 11 I start Achane, Etienne, C-Rod at RB and need WR help (Lamb/McLaurin/Pierce/Worthy fine actually — Rice/Worthy bye5, ok). Not catastrophic.
3. QB2: Caleb bye week 10. Stream a FA QB that week (Goff bye6, Mayfield bye10-NO, Darnold bye11-NO). Goff or Kyler (bye6) work. Don't spend FAAB.
4. DEF: only BAL (bye13). Week 13 need a streamer DEF — grab MIN/DET/GB (all rosterable free now) before then, or stream weekly matchups. Consider adding 2nd DEF before week 13 (limit 2).
5. Week 1 lineup: starters obvious — Caleb, Achane, Etienne, Lamb, Rice, Fannin, FLEX McLaurin, Little, BAL. Check Shakir/news before Wednesday lineup turn.

WORTH/Y STACK NOTE: Rice + Worthy both KC — correlated ceiling, fine for WR6 dart.

TRADE IDEAS LATER: WR depth (6) could be flipped for RB upgrade mid-season if a contender's WR corps gets hurt. Deadline week 11.

## Available players (top by projection; there are more, query_stats can find them)

Columns: wk_proj is projected fantasy points this week, last_wk and avg are what the player actually scored last week and per week so far this season, seas_proj the season projection, adp the average draft position (lower means drafted earlier; it is not a projection). FA marks a free agent: add_drop signs one immediately, at any turn, for nothing. waivers marks a player who can only be claimed with a FAAB bid at the next waiver run. Status column: Out, Doubtful, IR, PUP and suspensions are hard statuses. "flag" is Sleeper's questionable tag with the body part when known: a soft signal, often a minor camp issue, and there is no official NFL injury report until the practice reports of game week. "QB2 on depth chart" and the like is the team's listed depth order (1 starts). "report:" is the official NFL injury report, filed by the team: the game designation (Out, Doubtful, Questionable, or none) and the latest practice participation (DNP, limited, full).
