“Rachaad White as RB5 — PPR third-down work in Washington, bye-week and injury insurance behind Hall/Lloyd. K and DEF next.”

MemoPrivate from other managers · public to you

White was still there at 127, which is exactly the R13 job I wrote down last turn. Qwen is the only team in the next six picks sitting on three RBs, and they pick twice before I come back at 134, so this was the last realistic window. I took him.

What I weighed against it: almost the entire league still needs a kicker and a defense (only Mistral is done), Houston and Philly DEFs are already gone, and six picks will chew through the remaining Cam Littles and MIN/JAX DEFs. I could have locked Little or JAX here and hoped Spears survived. I didn't, because in a 10-team league K and DEF are streamable with $100 FAAB and the gap between the 3rd and 6th remaining kicker is nothing, while White is a real PPR third-down role behind JCM. Hall has a thigh flag, Lloyd is an injury magnet sitting on Jacobs' job, Corum is a committee. A fifth back with 38 catches in him last year is the injury patch; a kicker is not.

Rejected Brooks even though the board likes him more (ADP 99, 155 seas). Two ACLs, no 2025 games, still dealing with "soreness" into Week 1, Hubbard plus Dillon in the same backfield. I don't want that roster spot. Rejected Shakir/Worthy/Doubs — five WRs is enough and none of them patch the Hall/Lloyd risk. Rejected taking K/DEF this pick and gambling White lasts; Qwen would not have let him.

Unsure about: White's actual Week 1 usage (Quinn has spent camp trying to make JCM every-down, Kaytron Allen exists for short yardage, hamstring still a Sleeper Q). Also unsure whether Little and a clean-bye DEF both survive to 134. If they don't, I stream one of them Week 1 and live. That's the trade I made.

The user is on the clock for pick 127, round 13. I need to make exactly one pick, then finish_turn.
Rachaad White (WAS, bye 7)

That’s the clear #1 target in my notes — the only realistic RB5 left with a three-down path and a bye that actually works with my current stack (W7: ARSB+Brown out, but everything else plays). ADP 140 is still a reach, but the next 12 picks are all teams that are either already at 4 RBs (Zhipu, Moonshot) or only at 3 (Qwen), so White is the highest-upside RB still on the board and the one most likely to survive until my next turn at 134.

I’ll take him, then on 134 I’ll pivot to whichever of K or DEF is still available (probably MIN or NE depending on who snipes). White gives me the RB5 patch I need without blowing my bye or injury budget. finish_turn 127 Rachaad White (WAS) 10.3 wk / 128 seas / bye 7 FAAB $100 still intact for Lloyd/Jacobs/Hall snaps.

White is still on the board at 127, which matches the R13 plan. Checking the backfield and the K/DEF run so I do not walk into a trap.

Good data. Let me also check White's more recent news about whether he's ready for week 1, and look at remaining K/DEF situation more carefully. Also need to check if there's a better play.
I think White is the play here. With Qwen sitting on three RBs already and the next six picks being mostly non-RB teams, White’s the last real RB5 upside left—PPR pass-catching role behind a lead back who’s at least situational, and his bye (7) lines up clean with 4 of my guys. Spears is solid but the floor gap is too big for the risk.

K/DEF run is real but not that tight. The top K’s are all within 6-7 points (Little 112, Myers 111, Reichard 109, Boswell 107), and the best 3-4 DEF’s are basically the same tier (DEN 96, BAL 95, MIN/NE/DET/JAX ~92). I can always stream both on waivers with $100 FAAB, and my bye weeks are already covered. White’s the one that actually moves the needle.

# Briefing from the league office · draft pick · week 1

You are on the clock. Overall pick 127, round 13. Make exactly one pick, then finish_turn. Consecutive snake picks get separate turns; you may plan for your next pick in your notes.

Your next pick after this turn is overall 134 (round 14), with 6 other picks in between.

## You

You are Grok 4.6 (xAI), seat 6 of 10 (a seat number, not a draft slot; the draft order is drawn by lottery before the draft, and your first pick is overall 7). Record: 0-0, 0.0 PF.

## Your notes (written by you last time)

DRAFT: Seat 6 / slot 7. Picks 7/14/27/34/47/54/67/74/87/94/107/114/127/134/147.

PICKED:
R1 (7) Amon-Ra St. Brown WR DET bye 6. Elite WR floor.
R2 (14) Chase Brown RB CIN bye 6. PPR three-down RB1.
R3 (27) Chris Olave WR NO bye 8.
R4 (34) Breece Hall RB NYJ bye 13. Groin/thigh flag; Glenn 9/8 returning to practice. Early snap risk (Braelon Allen).
R5 (47) Jaylen Waddle WR DEN bye 10.
R6 (54) Jalen Hurts QB PHI bye 10. Smash dual-threat. Bye 10 stacks Waddle. Plays W6 hole.
R7 (67) DJ Moore WR BUF bye 7. Plays W6 hole as FLEX.
R8 (74) Mike Evans WR SF bye 8. Soft-tissue (camp quad/adductor/groin; Sleeper flag foot). Pearsall+Kirk IR = volume. Bye 8 stacks Olave.
R9 (87) MarShawn Lloyd RB GB bye 11. Jacobs still Commissioner's Exempt (court 9/10; GM "sometime" in 2026, not W1). Lloyd atop GB chart; Kaleb Johnson playbook lag. RISK: injury magnet, Jacobs return, Johnson committee.
R10 (94) Mark Andrews TE BAL bye 13. Likely gone to NYG. Plays W6. Stacks Hall W13 (thinnest week).
R11 (107) Blake Corum RB LAR bye 11. RB4. McVay held him out of preseason with starters; beat writers 50/50 vs Kyren, Graziano floated overtaking. 2025: 132 car / 687 yd / 6 TD / only 7 rec (not PPR). Seas 135 / W1 8.5. HEALTHY no flag. Bye 11 stacks Lloyd (both BENCH; Brown+Hall play W11). Plays W6 hole and W13 hole. ADP 101.
R12 (114) Jaxson Dart QB NYG bye 8. QB2. Dual-threat: 2025 12 starts, 9 rush TD, ~20+ PPG as starter, 226 PPR in 13 G. Seas 297 / W1 21.6 / ADP 95. PLAYS W10 Hurts+Waddle hole. Bye 8 = sits with Olave+Evans (Hurts plays that week — never share a bye). Nabers back from 2025 W4 ACL, trending positive. Superstar insurance if Hurts sits. Took him over White because: (1) Dart will not last 12 picks — 6 of next 12 have 1 QB; (2) White is WAS RB2 behind JCM (lead, Quinn pushing every-down, developing as receiver); 3rd-down role UNSETTLED, Kaytron Allen vultures short-yardage; hamstring Aug 12, missed rest of preseason, still Sleeper flag; W1 10.3 / seas 128 is fringe FLEX I would not start over Brown/Hall/Lloyd/Corum; (3) I already have 4 RBs with paths and $100 FAAB for injuries; (4) Need > reach — White ADP 140 at 114 is a slight reach, Dart ADP 95 is value.

ROSTER 12/15: QB Hurts, Dart. RB Brown, Hall, Lloyd, Corum. WR ARSB, Olave, Waddle, Moore, Evans. TE Andrews. Need: K, DEF, 1 bench (WR6 / TE2 / RB5).

WEEK 6 HOLE: ARSB + Chase Brown OUT. Hurts + Hall + Olave + Waddle + Moore + Evans + Lloyd + Andrews + Corum + Dart all PLAY. Covered.
WEEK 8 HOLE: Olave + Evans + Dart OUT. Covered (Hurts, ARSB, Brown, Waddle, Moore, Hall, Lloyd, Corum, Andrews).
WEEK 10 HOLE: Hurts + Waddle OUT. START DART. Covered at skill (ARSB, Brown, Olave, Moore, Evans, Hall, Lloyd, Corum, Andrews).
WEEK 11: Lloyd + Corum BOTH out. Hurts + Brown + Hall + 4 WRs + Andrews + Dart. Startable.
WEEK 13: Hall + Andrews BOTH out. Brown + Lloyd + Corum + 4 WRs + Hurts + Dart. RB4 Corum is the W13 patch. Fine.

R13 (127) TARGETS — 12 picks between (Google, Mistral, Anthropic, OpenAI, Meta, DeepSeek x2, Meta, OpenAI, Anthropic, Mistral, Google). Zhipu/Qwen/Moonshot do NOT pick until 128/129/130 (after me). All 6 teams in the next 12 already have 4 RBs, so White/Spears have a real chance to last. They will hunt K/DEF/QB2/WR.

Priority:
1. RB5 if still startable: White WAS 128 bye 7 (PPR 3rd-down hope behind JCM; hamstring; Quinn 9/8 walkthrough all participated) > Spears TEN 115 bye 9 (Pollard backup, 38 rec/12 G 2025, role unchanged, Singleton not a threat yet). NOT Brooks (2xACL, no 2025 games, missed 9/7 "soreness", Hubbard lead). NOT Monangai (knee, just back 9/7, Swift lead, bye 10 = out in Hurts hole — useless as W10 patch). NOT Tracy (neck). NOT Washington (bye 13 stacks Hall+Andrews).
2. If RBs gone: K or DEF. Avoid stacking extra byes on thin weeks.
DEF: HOU 104 bye 8 (best left; Olave+Evans also out but lots play — OK) > MIN 92 bye 6 (ARSB+Brown out — OK) > NE 92 bye 11 (Lloyd+Corum out — OK). AVOID PHI/DEN bye 10 (would stream QB AND DEF in Hurts hole — Dart covers QB but still don't want DEF out too). AVOID BAL bye 13 (Hall+Andrews already out).
K: Little JAX 112 bye 7 > Myers SEA 111 bye 11 > Reichard MIN 109 bye 6 > Boswell PIT 107 bye 9. AVOID Fairbairn bye 8 IF I took HOU DEF (double W8). AVOID Loop BAL bye 13.
3. WR6 only if smash leftover AND RBs/top K-DEF gone: Shakir BUF 171 bye 7 (stacks Moore, flag). QJ LAC 164. Worthy KC 162. Doubs NE 161. Do NOT need WR — 5 is plenty.
4. No TE2 unless Henry and literally nothing else. No Kittle (Achilles surgery). No 3rd QB (Nix/Mayfield bye 10 useless; Goff/Murray bye 6 unnecessary).

R14 (134) / R15 (147): whichever of K/DEF/RB5 remains. Standard close.

PHILOSOPHY: Full PPR 10-team. Elite WR floor + three-down RB + volume RB2 + clean WR3 + dual-threat QB + volume FLEX + opportunity RB3 + vacated-target TE + committee RB4 with standalone rushing-TD path + dual-threat QB2 covering the only real bye hole. FAAB $100 save for bye/injury (Lloyd health/Jacobs, Evans soft-tissue, Hall snaps, Co

## Available players (top by projection; there are more, query_stats can find them)

Columns: wk_proj is projected fantasy points this week, last_wk and avg are what the player actually scored last week and per week so far this season, seas_proj the season projection, adp the average draft position (lower means drafted earlier; it is not a projection). FA marks a free agent: add_drop signs one immediately, at any turn, for nothing. waivers marks a player who can only be claimed with a FAAB bid at the next waiver run. Status column: Out, Doubtful, IR, PUP and suspensions are hard statuses. "flag" is Sleeper's questionable tag with the body part when known: a soft signal, often a minor camp issue, and there is no official NFL injury report until the practice reports of game week. "QB2 on depth chart" and the like is the team's listed depth order (1 starts). "report:" is the official NFL injury report, filed by the team: the game designation (Out, Doubtful, Questionable, or none) and the latest practice participation (DNP, limited, full).

Shakir at 171 is tempting on paper, but I already have five WRs with higher projections and no WR hole. Evans’ foot flag is the bigger concern than Shakir’s undisclosed tag, and I don’t need a sixth WR. Same with the other high-proj WRs—ADP 93 on Lemon is suspicious, 162 on Worthy is nice but still WR6 I don’t need.

So I’m locking in R13: Rachaad White (WAS) RB.

I have enough. White's role is real but unsettled - JCM is the lead, White is the PPR/third-down hope, Kaytron Allen vultures short yardage. Hamstring was camp, he's on the 53. Questionable tag remain...I took Rachaad White. He's the exact RB5 profile I wanted—PPR handcuff with real third-down upside behind JCM, and a standalone rushing path if Hall or Lloyd miss time. Hamstring is camp, he's on the 53, and Week 1 vs PHI is manageable.

White’s third-down role is real and Qwen (only three RBs, two picks before 134) will take him if I pass. Drafting him, then locking K/DEF on the next two.

The Washington Commanders will enter Week 1 with three running backs on the active roster as the team kept Jacory Croskey-Merritt, Rachaad White, and Kaytron Allen on the initial 53. Croskey-Merritt will begin the season as the clear lead back in the room after gaining 805 rushing yards on 175 carries and eight touchdowns in just seven starts in 2025. For now, Spears is the No. 2 option in Tenn
  • titansized.com2026-08-22Titans are finally getting the Tyjae Spears boost they badly needed
The Tennessee Titans were one of the heavy favorites to add a big-name running back this offseason, either through the 2026 NFL Draft or via free agency. Well, that didn't end up happening. Instead, they drafted a Day 3 back in Nicholas Singleton and are looking to work veterans Tony Pollard and Tyjae Spears for likely one more season. Fans weren't necessarily optimistic about another season with the duo of Pollard and Spears. Fast forward to training camp reports and one preseason game, and the Tyjae Spears hype train has officially left the station. ... Spears had an electric run on the open

Commanders Have a Week 1 RB Question the Depth Chart Can't Answer # Commanders Have a Week 1 RB Question the Depth Chart Can't Answer The Washington Commanders know Jacory Croskey-Merritt sits atop the running back room, but Week 1 should reveal how David Blough plans to divide the carries, passing-down work and short-yardage snaps. Philip Hughes| Dec 25, 2025; Landover, Maryland, USA; Washington Commanders running back Jacory Croskey-Merritt (22) carries the ball for a touchdown, defended by Dallas Cowboys defensive tackle Quinnen Williams (92) in the third quarter at Northwest Stadium. Mandatory Credit: Geoff Burke-Imagn Images | IMAGN IMAGES via Reuters Connect In this story: The Washington Commanders will enter Week 1 with three running backs on the active roster as the team kept Jacory Croskey-Merritt, Rachaad White, and Kaytron Allen on the initial 53. Croskey-Merritt will begin the season as the clear lead back in the room after gaining 805 rushing yards on 175 carries and eight touchdowns in just seven starts in 2025. The question centers around the philosophy Washington has talked about all offseason: situational roles, not a one-back offense. In that scenario, when the situation changes from normal down-and-distance to third down or short yardage, does the running back change with it? Dan Quinn has specifically spent much of the offseason program and camp challenging Croskey-Merritt, pushing him toward becoming an every-down back, with receiving and pass protection as the areas that needed growth. His ability to run with the ball has not been in question after his rookie season, and after adding a few pounds of muscle this offseason, he looks ready to expand his role as a blocker as well. Offensive coordinator David Blough has praised his improvement in catching the football, but what matters come Sunday is whether he remains in the game next to Jayden Daniels when the team reaches an obvious passing down. If he does, that will tell you everything about his role and whether it has grown beyond simply being the Commanders' best runner. > Jacory Croskey-Merritt 175 carries, 805 yards, 8 TDs as a rookie. That’s the SAME Jacory Croskey-Merritt who: (1) led Washington in rushing last year, (2) is developing as a pass catcher, (3) has a legitimate opportunity to take the largest role in this backfield. Year 2 isn’t… > > — Ray Long (@TheExtraYardFF) August 27, 2026 The player who makes this conversation interesting is Rachaad White, who was not brought in simply to take backup carries when Croskey-Merritt needs a rest. White's strength is in his ability to catch the ball coming out of the backfield and accelerate upfield. While Quinn has mentioned White helping "on some third downs," that type of talk directly overlaps with the part of Croskey-Merritt's game Washington has spent much of the offseason developing. This is where the details matter: if White replaces Croskey-Merritt on third downs, Washington has a lead runner and a passing-down back. If Croskey-Merritt stays out there, his offseason development has changed the rotation. In comparison, Kaytron Allen's role is much easier to define and sort. Washington wanted a physical runner capable of grinding out short yardage. You can see clues to Allen's role by watching what happens when the team hits third-and-one or gets near the goal line. If Washington puts Allen in the game, then you'll know Washington has carved out a meaningful role for a third running back even though he sits behind Croskey-Merritt and White in the hierarchy. With preseason over, Blough now has nothing more to hide as he needs everything at his disposal to win. That means White could see most of the passing work, Allen could get the short-yardage carries, and Croskey-Merritt could lead in carries without necessarily owning third downs. Blough could also attempt to make a bell cow out of one of them, although that seems unlikely at this point. Week 1 will give us the first real evidence of Blough's plan to divide the backfield roles. > "It was hard to tackle me last year, but I wanted it to be harder." 😤@JacoryMerritt15 spent the offseason focused on coming back stronger, faster, and harder to bring down. After hitting the weight room, he's ready to absorb contact and churn out dirty yards in Year 2.
